We're all part of the solution
There are plenty of exciting solutions for cutting our carbon emissions but they need strong political support if they are to flourish.

A ground-breaking law
This year the UK will make history by being the first country in the world to have a climate change law with legally binding targets for reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The law will support climate solutions that will help us all - individuals, business and communities - to cut our carbon footprint.

Such ground-breaking legislation is truly a cause for celebration - but something is missing. Against all logic, the Government are leaving the UK's share of international aviation and shipping emissions out of the law.

Through The Big Ask campaign we are calling for a law which counts ALL emissions from the start and commits the UK to carbon dioxide reductions of 80 per cent by 2050 in line with the latest science.

Demand all emissions are counted
MPs will have the chance to vote on the new law this summer before it is introduced. The majority of MPs have said they support a strong climate change law. Now it's time to make sure they act.
